Move For Your Mind

Who We Are

#Move For Your Mind

A health campaign launched by the Media students of MDX, focusing on promoting happiness and wellbeing and ties in with the Year of Giving in the UAE.

Vision

We all often tend to focus on our physical health. But what about our mental health? We all have that too, and just like physical health, some days it is good, some days not so good!

Move for your Mind’s main objective is a focus on wellbeing and advocating healthy minds and healthy lifestyles.

This campaign also clearly ties in with UAE government’s declaration of 2017 as the ‘Year of Giving’ – this campaign provides an opportunity for students to give back to their community and lend out a helping hand

Mission

“There is a crack in everything/ That’s how the light gets in”

Anthem by Leonard Cohen

3rd-year students from the School of Arts and Creative Industries are creating a campaign called “Move for Your Mind!” The focus of this campaign is to promote wellbeing – a healthy mind and a healthy body. We all often tend to focus on our physical health. But what about our mental health? We all have that too, and just like physical health, some days it is good, some days not so good! Move for your Mind’s primary objective is a focus on wellbeing and advocating healthy minds and healthy lifestyles.

This campaign also clearly ties in with UAE government’s declaration of 2017 as the ‘Year of Giving’ – this campaign provides an opportunity for students to give back to their community and lend out a helping hand.  MED3053 have been working over the last few weeks to develop this campaign.

A campaign event will be held on campus on the 28th of March, 2017 in Block 16. Guest lectures, lifestyles classes, music and art, will be some of the activities on hand. We look forward to students and faculty joining us so we can together Move for your Mind!

We would like faculty and students to come to a talk at either 11 am or 3 pm in the OASIS Theatre where students will discuss the campaign goals and learning outcomes, sharing their journey on working as a team to create the campaign.
